Maclay Schoolseeksa dedicated student-centered Lower School Teaching Assistant to support our classrooms and youngest learners. This role is ideal for someone who is both relational and organized and who believes children thrive in environments where they feel known supported and encouraged to grow.

You are flexible and dependable able to shift as needed throughout the day whilemaintaininga calm and positive demeanor. You take initiative notice what needs to be done and step in to help without needing to be asked.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with the lead teacher to support daily instruction and classroom routines
Provide small group and individual support to reinforce academic concepts
Assistin the preparation and organization of instructional materials and activities
Support classroom management by helpingmaintainclear consistent expectations
Supervise students during transitions recess and lunch ensuring a safe and positive environment
Foster students social and emotional development through encouragement modeling and relationship-building
Contribute to a collaborative respectful classroom culture
Assistwithadditionalresponsibilities as needed to support the classroom and school
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors degreerequired(Education or related field preferred)
Experience working with children ideally in a school setting
Strong communicationand collaboration skills
Positive flexible and proactive approach to work
Demonstrated reliability and professionalism
A genuine love for children and a desire to support their growth
Physical Requirements and ADA Statement
This role requires regular movement between classrooms and buildings active engagement in classroom instruction and the ability to navigate indoor and outdoor school environments. The position also requires the ability to sit stand walk communicate clearlyoperatestandard classroom technology and occasionally lift materials up to 2030 pounds.
