Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical to join a high-acuity surgical trauma unit. This role requires strong clinical expertise in managing complex patient cases within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care on a high-acuity Medical/Surgical Trauma unit
Manage complex patient population including spinal neuro trauma surgical cases gunshot injuries quadriplegic and paraplegic patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform thorough nursing assessments care planning and documentation in EPIC EMR
Participate in structured handoffs with ED and admitting units
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical or related specialty
Current BLS certification required
ACLS preferred
Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
Must be flexible to work assigned shifts
No block scheduling available
No RTO (Requested Time Off not permitted during assignment)
