Technical Operations Engineer

Hiire is helping Bauer Media Group hire a Technical Operations Engineer to support their mission-critical digital audio services.

About the Team:

Youll join Bauer Media Audios Regional Technical Operations team a newly created and fast-growing group supporting 24/7 digital audio delivery across multiple European markets.

The team operates in a modern cloud-based environment and works closely with UK engineering and cross-market teams to ensure reliable scalable services.

This is a cloud-native high-impact digital operations team powering Europes leading audio platforms!

The Difference You Will Make:

Youll play a key role in supporting mission-critical digital audio services monitoring platforms in real time and helping ensure a high level of reliability for millions of listeners.

Your work will directly contribute to service stability fast incident response and continuous improvement of our operational practices.

Your Role:

• Operate within a continuous 24/7/365 monitoring function.

• Respond to alerts triage issues and follow runbooks.

• Escalate to engineering teams and document incidents.

• Support onboarding platform readiness checks and operational improvements.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Technical background in distributed systems (cloud or onprem).

• Experience operating/monitoring technical platforms.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Nice to have: AWS observability tooling support experience cloud-native awareness.

• Open to candidates across different experience levels from recent graduates to senior professionals.

Working Pattern / Location:

• Hybrid role based in Lisbon: 4 days office / 1 day home.

• Participate in a 24/7 shift rotation including nights and weekends to support operational services.
