Job Description:
The Mobile Engineer is responsible for operating inspecting maintaining and repairing HVAC refrigeration mechanical electrical plumbing and production equipment systems across assigned facilities. This role focuses on ensuring equipment operates efficiently safely and with minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and timely repairs. The position requires strong technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration systems along with the ability to work across multiple trades including electrical plumbing and general building maintenance.

In this role the engineer performs preventive maintenance and responds to repair work orders on facility systems and equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems electrical distribution systems plumbing infrastructure and building components such as walls flooring roofing and lighting. The engineer is expected to conduct facility inspections identify and report conditions that may impact operations and support overall building performance. Daily activities include updating work orders in real time utilizing CMMS systems for tracking and documentation and submitting procurement-related receipts as required. The role requires becoming familiar with a variety of equipment and tools used in daily operations as well as being available for on-call and emergency response work.

Candidates must possess a valid state drivers license and be able to travel between Escanaba and Marquette Michigan. A Universal CFC recovery certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Applicants should have a minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC refrigeration plumbing electrical systems and production equipment maintenance. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems is required.

Preferred candidates will have experience using CMMS or work order management systems and a working knowledge of standard computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheets. Additional training through a trades school or a documented apprenticeship in electrical systems refrigeration or HVAC is beneficial.
