At Thermeleon we are developing the worlds first passive Heat Battery for hightech greenhouses and we are looking for a working student or intern who enjoys turning complex climate datasets into clear actionable insights. You will directly contribute to our mission Towards Climate Neutral Horticulture supporting growers in reducing energy use improving crop performance and moving toward a more resilient lowcarbon future.
Our passive Heat Battery requires no energy input and delivering 1030% energy savings while structurally rethinking how thermal energy is stored and managed in greenhouses. As part of our team you will help translate raw climate data into insights that guide this transition and support the next generation of sustainable horticulture.
Tasks
- You will help develop a scalable dataanalysis framework that can be applied to new clients and evolving datasets. This framework will streamline future analyses and support consistent repeatable insight generation.
- You will lead the continued development and management of our central database ensuring all processed data and insights are structured for long-term accessibility and scalable analysis
- You will analyze large multisource greenhouse datasets to uncover thermal energy and climate insights. Your work supports understanding heat flux behavior temperature cycles and environmental interactions.
- You will generate comparative insights across multiple client sites both before and after demo installations. This helps quantify the impact of new technologies and supports evidencebased decision.
- You will evaluate performance of the Heat Battery across different configurations compartments and environmental conditions. These analyses help quantify system efficiency and guide future design improvements.
- You will investigate vertical and spatial climate patterns that contribute to understanding how climate behaves in real greenhouse environments.
- You will validate and correlate sensor systems which ensure data reliability and enables deeper interpretation of greenhouse climate dynamics.
Requirements
- HBO or university student in a technical field (e.g. Physics Computer Science Engineering).
- Proficiency in Python for scientific data analysis and working with timeseries datasets.
- Willingness and interest to learn how to build dashboards and work with databases to effectively structure and visualize data.
- Strong communicator who can translate complex analyses into clear understandable insights for the team and clients.
- Works accurately and takes ownership of data quality.
