Mainframe Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in CICS COBOL JCL DB2 and a solid understanding of banking and financial services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining mission-critical applications that support core banking operations.

• Design develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL DB2 and CICS.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the banking domain.

• Perform system analysis debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts QA and operations to ensure seamless delivery.

• Support production systems troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Participate in code reviews testing and deployment activities.

• Ensure compliance with banking industry standards security and regulatory requirements.

• 5 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development.

• Strong expertise in CICS (Customer Information Control System).

• Proficiency in COBOL JCL DB2 VSAM.

• Experience in banking/financial services domain (e.g. core banking payments loans deposits).

• Knowledge of batch processing transaction management and performance optimization.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

• Experience with MQ Series IMS or other mainframe tools.

• Familiarity with modernization initiatives (mainframe to cloud migration API enablement).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.

• Advanced certifications in Mainframe technologies or Banking IT systems
