The Role: Create Moments That Matter
As an Activities Coordinator at Parklands you will play a key role in enhancing residents’ wellbeing by designing activities that bring joy purpose comfort and connection. No two days are the same — and every day offers the chance to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities including arts and crafts music gentle movement gardening games reminiscence sessions and more.
Organise special events such as themed celebrations birthdays seasonal activities and visits from entertainers.
Build warm meaningful relationships with residents and tailor activities to their interests lifestyle and individual preferences.
Create dementiafriendly engagement sessions including sensory and cognitivestimulation activities.
Coordinate communitybased experiences local outings and opportunities that promote connection beyond the home.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Creative energetic and highly organised
Compassionate patient and committed to enriching the lives of older adults
Experienced in activity planning or working within a care or communitybased setting (desirable)
Flexible and willing to support occasional events outside standard hours
