About the Job
As an SDE-2 you will be responsible for building and scaling backend systems that are reliable efficient and production-ready. This is a hands-on coding role where youre expected to independently solve engineering problems and contribute high-quality systems.
What youll do
Design and build backend services in Golang
Write clean efficient and production-quality code with a strong focus on performance and reliability
Solve complex problems using data structures and algorithms
Own features/modules end-to-end with minimal guidance
Debug production issues perform root-cause analysis and ensure system stability
Improve existing systems for better scalability performance and maintainability
Make sound engineering decisions considering trade-offs and constraints
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship high-impact features
Must-haves
35 years of backend engineering experience
Strong problem-solving skills with data structures & algorithms
Deep hands-on experience in Golang
Ability to write clean maintainable and testable production code
Good understanding of backend system design (APIs services modular architecture)
Experience building and owning backend components/services
Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments
Understanding of real-world engineering constraints (scalability failures edge cases)
Nice to have
Experience with distributed systems
Familiarity with performance optimization and system tuning
Exposure to cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools

This role will be on a third-party payroll
This is a 6-month contract role
