Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who is a true specialist in modern frontend development not just proficient but an expert who will spearhead best practices and raise the bar for the entire engineering team. You will own the frontend architecture of a cloud-based SaaS platform driving decisions on component design performance optimization and scalable UI patterns that shape how users experience the product.  

You will partner with engineering leads and product stakeholders to influence core architectural decisions not simply execute tasks handed down. We need someone who thrives in collaborative cross-functional environments who brings ideas to the table during brainstorming sessions takes accountability for technical direction and communicates with clarity and confidence across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the frontend architecture using React and TypeScript establishing patterns and standards that the team follows
• Spearhead frontend best practices across the engineering organization including code quality accessibility performance budgets and component library design
• Partner with engineering leads and product managers to influence and shape technical decisions contributing your expertise during architecture discussions and design reviews
• Drive frontend performance optimization initiatives ensuring fast load times responsive layouts and smooth interactions across devices
• Break down complex user stories into clear actionable technical tasks and lead their execution from planning through delivery
• Mentor and elevate other engineers through hands-on code reviews pairing sessions and documentation of frontend standards
• Collaborate across multiple teams in an Agile environment actively participating in cross-team brainstorming and taking the lead on frontend-related decisions

Qualifications :

• 8 years of professional experience as a software engineer with at least 5 years focused primarily on frontend development
• Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript with deep knowledge of component lifecycle state management and rendering optimization
• Proven track record of leading frontend architecture decisions in collaborative multi-team environments not just executing tickets in isolation
• Strong experience integrating with REST APIs and building seamless data-driven user interfaces (GraphQL experience is a plus)
• Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization responsive design accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Excellent communication skills: ability to clearly articulate technical concepts present proposals to stakeholders and align cross-functional teams around a shared approach
• Experience working in larger team environments where you have actively participated in brainstorming influenced architectural direction and taken accountability for core decisions
• Based in Latin America (remote position)
• English proficiency at B2 level or above (daily communication with US-based teams)
• Result-oriented and proactive comfortable working with autonomy
• Client relationship mindset: you are joining a team not filling a role

Nice to Have

• Experience with backend technologies such or for occasional cross-stack contributions
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and how frontend applications deploy and scale within them
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and frontend testing frameworks (Jest Cypress Playwright)
• Experience with MS SQL or other relational databases
• Microsoft certifications or equivalent cloud platform credentials
