What youll do (the role)

Summary

Across EMEA Lightsource bp is progressing a large pipeline of onshore renewable energy solutions including solar BESS and onshore wind technologies. We aim to establish and continue to grow Lightsource bps brand position as a leading renewables company across the region. As our footprint and impact grows so does the need for strategic insight-driven commercial marketing strategies that strengthens our market presence and supports our ambitious development agenda.

We are seeking a creative digitally savvy Marketing Associate who is eager to support the momentum and success of our business across multiple EMEA markets. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated proactive and ready to support commercial marketing and communications activities across the region while also contributing to specific country markets and business units.

They will play a key role in shaping and executing communication initiatives that elevate Lightsource bps brand awareness strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships and build influence across their territories. This role offers the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas support strategic planning and deliver high-quality marketing output that drives Lightsource bps progress and goals across the EMEA region. Key accountabilities are set out below:

Commercial Marketing & Communications Market Strategies

• Working in partnership with Commercial Marketing Regional Managers and wider GACMCE team to supporting our development targets by growing our brand awareness through engaging informative and authentic marketing and communication strategies.
• Collaboratively working with GACMCE team to support senior stakeholders including bp to ensure consistent delivery on messaging stakeholder engagement and maximizing channel output.
• Support collaboration with external agencies press digital events design to empower delivery on campaigns and execution
• Manage and monitor Lightsource bp EMEAs external social media channels
• Monitor and facilitate responses for Lightsource bp EMEAs press email address
• Event facilitation and management where required.

Digital marketing and visual asset management

• Working in partnership the EMEA Digital Marketing and Web Manager to support and maintain engaging content on EMEA regional websites
• Support the development and execution of bespoke digital marketing campaigns.
• Oversee reporting out on key metrics and KPIs on paid campaigns.
• Setting up managing and curating Lightsource bps EMEA digital assets libraries
• Support Commercial Marketing Regional leads in curating visual content photography and video

Internal and corporate communications support

• Working in partnership Lightsource bps corporate communications team to support the development of engaging internal communications for the EMEA region.
• Own the EMEA Communications Hub on sharepoint and progress its evolution
• Own manage and evolve the EMEA internal events calendar.
• Support the development and execution of bespoke digital marketing campaigns.

Drive best practice and efficiencies for the GACMCE function

• Support team requirements on insights and research projects.
• Preparing briefing documents and presentations where required in support of wider group projects.
• Undertaking basic graphic design support where required to support external campaigns.
• Maintaining and reporting on budgets where required
• Writing and contributing towards content marketing strategies in support of wider functional projects.

Experience & Knowledge Required

• Demonstrable experience in Marketing Communications or similar field
• Demonstrable experience in writing copy and content across a broad range of collateral
• Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns including SEO digital advertising and social media marketing
• A good understanding of the solar/low carbon energy industry
• Skilled and sophisticated writer
• Executing both internal and external communication strategies
• Authentic presentation and communication skills
• Collaboration with both internal and external team members.
• Knowledge of SEO
• Microsoft Office including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Familiar with basic graphic design tools like Canva Photoshop
• Ability to use social media channels to effectively deliver marketing content
• Fluent in English and any other language knowledge will be a bonus

Skills Required

• Being able to translate business requirements and sales objectives into effective communication campaigns
• Working together with internal stakeholders and many external parties to deliver projects to a high standard and to tight deadlines
• Enthusiastic Multi-tasker able to deal and co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to work on initiative identifying opportunities within the business to further drive communication targets and create brand awareness
• Provide clear and strategic direction when briefing agencies to ensure quality output
• Be a team player sensitive towards targets goals and objectives of the Marketing & Comms team as well as all other business units within Lightsource bp
