The NICU includes 97 beds and cares for Level II-Level IV team in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is dedicated to treating infants who need the highest level of care. Led by a team of more than 25 neonatologists experienced in treating the most challenging cases our NICU has a Level IV designation from the American Academy of Pediatrics the highest level available. This designation means that our NICU team provides the most advanced life support and monitoring technology for premature and critically ill infants.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for broad and specific responsibilities for the development and implementation of clinical education or simulation-based educational patient safety and assessment activities at the unit level or within the Department of Clinical Education. Serves as an educator working closely with faculty and staff in the design and implementation of educational assessment and patient safety activities. Provides technical and instructional support to Nursing Professional Development Specialists.
Shifts: 40 hrs per week

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field.
- Current State of Florida RN license required.
- 5 years experience in pediatric or neonatal nursing and 3 years experience in nursing education required.
- Specialty nursing certification or Epic Credentialed Trainer required. Note: Epic Credentialed Trainer may be required based on the needs of the unit/department.
- Nursing Professional Development Certification required within 1 year of hire and/or promotion.
- Simulation Instructor training required within one year of hire and/or promotion.
- Formal training in educational theory instructional design or teaching strategies required.
- Experience evaluating educational outcomes required.
- Previous clinical research patient safety and/or teaching experience required.
- Experience in designing and implementing educational programs required.
- Ability to perform in a team leader role.

Salary Range: Minimum 45.04/hour - Maximum 69.81/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
