Job Description:

This person will contribute to the companys success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies sub-assemblies or end products.

Essential Functions:

• Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies sub-assemblies or end products in a repetitive nature
• Follows an engineered assembly process but may require the ability to adjust fit or align parts
• Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers screw drivers soldering irons and wrenches
• Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
• Uses Microsoft Office programs
• Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
• Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced flexible production environment
• Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
• Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours).
• Able to transport up to 25 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Strong mechanical background
• L3Harris product knowledge
• Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material
• J-STD-001
• Strong Customer Focus

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the hourly range for this role New York state is $17.75 - $30.52. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
