Building Engineer
Shift: Monday Friday 1st Shift
Pay: $35 $40/hour
Location: Orlando FL
About the Job
Were looking for a solid hands-on Building Engineer who can take ownership of facility operations and keep everything running the way it should. This role is for someone who knows their way around HVAC electrical plumbing and general building systems.
Youll be the go-to person for troubleshooting issues handling repairs working with vendors and making sure the building stays up and running without problems.
What Youll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC electrical plumbing and general building systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and handle day-to-day work orders
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair calls
- Walk the building regularly to catch issues early and create work orders
- Work with and oversee outside contractors and vendors
- Schedule and plan maintenance work with minimal disruption
- Order parts and keep inventory stocked (filters belts etc.)
- Track and close out work orders in the system (CMMS)
- Help diagnose bigger system issues and support repairs
- Keep work areas safe clean and organized
- Follow all safety rules and correct any unsafe conditions
What Were Looking For
- 510 years of commercial building maintenance experience
- Strong HVAC knowledge (must be comfortable troubleshooting systems)
- Experience with electrical and plumbing systems
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and diagrams
- Comfortable using a work order system (CMMS)
- Someone reliable who shows up and gets the job done
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical/trade school training preferred
- Strong all-around maintenance skills (carpentry painting minor electrical etc.)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- EPA Universal Certification
- Journeyman license (electrical or plumbing)
- Boiler license
- OSHA 10 or 30
