Job Summary

Role Purpose


To provide high-quality care and early education for children aged 05 years in line with the EYFS framework and Little Elms Four Pillars curriculum.

The Level 3 Educator will ensure children are safe stimulated and supported to thrive emotionally socially and developmentally within a warm professional environment.
  • Essential Requirements

    • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (as recognised by the DfE).

    • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.

    • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

    • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Right to work in the UK.

    • Enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

1. Quality of Care & Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.

  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures in line with statutory guidance.

  • Maintain accurate accident incident and welfare records.

  • Promote positive behaviour using consistent and respectful strategies.

  • Adhere to hygiene health and safety and mealtime standards.

2. Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS.

  • Implement Little Elms Four Pillars:

    • Little Athletes physical development and outdoor learning

    • Little Artists creativity and expressive arts

    • Little Innovators STEM and curiosity-led learning

    • Little Well-Beings emotional literacy and wellbeing

  • Observe assess and track childrens development.

  • Contribute to planning meetings and reflective practice.

  • Support children with SEND following IEPs and external professional guidance.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise


Desirable

  • Experience working in a busy nursery setting.
    Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
    Experience supporting quality improvement or room leadership.
