Graham is actively recruiting a Construction Design Manager to support the Buildings Division reporting to the Senior Design Manager. Based in Ontario this role supports a rapidly growing region delivering some of the countrys most technically demanding and highprofile building projects.

This is a leadership opportunity to help build and lead a construction design management team while driving excellence across complex projects including nextgeneration healthcare facilities specialized laboratory and research environments major transportation and transit hubs food processing facilities and largescale missioncritical building programs.

Your Role in Building What Matters From Office to Site

• Lead the Design Management Function: Provide strategic direction set expectations and oversee the entire design process in all phases from project pursuit through to successful project delivery.
• Drive Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a key bridge between design construction consultants and project stakeholders.
• You will interface with our in-house construction execution team MEIT Estimating BIM / VDC Quality HSE Scheduling Risk Management Commercial and Project Management.
• Build Develop & Mentor a High-Performing Team: Coach and continue to build the Construction Design Management Team.
• Technical Coordination & Constructability: Navigate complex project requirements identifying and addressing design challenges early and ensuring information is construction-ready.
• Serve as the primary client-facing leader for all design-related matters building strong relationships leading meetings and workshops managing expectations and ensuring seamless communication between the client consultants and construction teams.
• Maintain Quality Standards & Governance: Champion document quality oversee design reviews and audits and ensure technical compliance through all phases.
• Strategic Decision-Making: Provide insight and leadership on risk management sequencing cost efficiency and design impacts to enable informed project decisions.

The Right Tools for the Job

• Education & Credentials: Degree in Engineering Construction Management Architecture or a related discipline preferred; LEED PMP or . designations are strong assets.
• Experience: 7 years of experience in construction management design management or project delivery with demonstrated leadership on complex technical building projects and a strong background in Design-Build or Integrated Project Delivery environments.
• Leadership & Management Strengths: Proven ability to lead teams set priorities and drive performance; skilled at coaching and influencing across disciplines with strong communication skills that create clarity and alignment in complex environments
  
  

Compensation

• Salary Range $135000 to $175000 per annum
• Compensation aligned to education and experience ensuring fair and competitive placement
• Three to five weeks of vacation with additional credit for prior industry experience
