As a Traffic Management Professional (Fish and Wildlife Technical Coordinator) in Sauvie Island Oregon you will provide support to Sauvie Island Wildlife Area and the West Region. These duties include:
Manage traffic
Coordinate checkpoint and traffic management issues
Interact with public
Prepare checkpoint organize signs and make repairs
Write weekly reports
Coordinate with OSP and Sauvie Island Fire Dept. on human safety issues and observed violations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Eighteen months of experience in the care of livestock agricultural research and experimentation monitoring game or wildlife or farming AND three years of wildlife experience in a wildlife program. (Two years of fisheries or related habitat work experience will count toward this experience).
-OR-
Option 2: An Associates degree in Wildlife Technology or Agriculture AND three years of wildlife experience in a wildlife program.(Twelve months of fisheries or related habitat work experience will count toward this experience);
-OR-
Option 3: A Bachelors degree in Wildlife Science Agriculture or a closely-related Bachelors degree with at least 45 quarter (30 semester) hours of biological/ecological coursework AND one year and six months of wildlife experience in a wildlife program. (Six months of fisheries or related habitat work experience will count toward this experience);
Desired Attributes
Experience in traffic control and safety management
Experience performing field operations including equipment setup and site readiness
Experience preparing written reports
Experience providing customer service and interacting with the public

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%
