We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director Software Engineering
In this role you will:
- Work as SRE Lead for services across Traded Risk Shared Services.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to POD members.
- Facilitate regular reviews retrospectives and knowledge-sharing sessions within the POD.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and operational excellence with responsibilities including uptime & reliability automation incident management monitoring and observability.
- Design implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build test and deployment and maintain robust monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle including vulnerability management automated security testing and compliance checks (DevSecOps).Collaborate closely with development and platform teams to embed best practices.
- Provide end-to-end production support including incident management root cause analysis and proactive issue incident management and ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
- Conduct in-depth investigations to identify the underlying causes of incidents. Implement lasting solutions enhancing the overall stability of the platforms.
- Collaborate closely with global technology teams and support functions with regards to strategy operating model capacity planning implementation production support transition and project lifecycle governance.
To be successful you will
- At least 12 years of technical experience in system deployment.
- Good track record with the entire Software Development Life Cycle process.
- Familiarity with DevOps toolsets Git Jenkins Nexus Gradle understanding of DevOps/Agile way of working.
- Experience in monitoring incident management and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Good presentation and communication skills with fluent English speaking and writing and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
- Able to adapt in global team culture and communicate with teammates in different locations
