Job Summary
IOCP is a nonprofit that provides services in food case management emergency financial assistance employment services and childcare resources to those residing in our service area. We are looking for a part-time Food Shelf Experience Coordinator to provide a great experience to our guests who are visiting the food shelf and support to our volunteers.
The Food Shelf Experience Coordinator works with a team to coordinate food shelf operations and deliver exceptional service to shoppers. This position helps IOCP guests move toward increased stability by meeting their basic needs and helping them to stretch tight budgets. Schedule Requirements
- This is a part-time 20-25 hour per week position
- This is work is onsite and in-person
- Shifts will cover food shelf distribution shifts and support during the following times:
o Wednesday 8:00AM-3:30PM
o Thursday 1:00 PM 7:30 PM
o Friday 8:00AM-3:30PM
o Occasional team meetings

What You Will Do
Initial Food Shelf Guest Check In at Front Desk
- Greet food shelf guests warmly and professionally as they approach the front desk; check them in for food shelf appointments
- Assist clients in scheduling and canceling appointments and manage client flow
- Maintain accurate records of client visits and service data.
- Manage required client paperwork process help new clients complete forms existing clients update expired forms and upload into client database
- Support receptionist when needed
Food Shelf Guest Shopping Oversight
- Ensure that the food shelf space and inventory are ready for each guest shopping time
- Monitor food shelf functions throughout a shift including receiving sorting stocking and distributing food
- Follow closing procedures at the end of each shift
- Monitor food shelf email and voicemail responding to our guests within 1 business day
- Ensure quality experience for Food Shelf guests: continuously identify ways to strengthen Food Shelf service based on our client centric approach and input from food shelf guests volunteers and staff
Volunteer Management
- Provide a daily overview for volunteer teams; prepare them to provide quality services to guests
- Train new volunteers and coach all volunteers throughout their shift
- Be a resource to volunteers during each shift. Guide and direct them as needed. Fill in critical positions
