Basic Function: | To assist with the establishment and on-going development of the Universitys living-learning communities. |

Examples of Duties: | Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following: Develop conduct and manage programs and procedures for designated learning community population with the long-range goal of meeting students academic and social needs while enhancing their retention and success within the residence hall community and the university.
Coordinate special programs such as registration orientation study breaks and socials.
Recruit and integrate students into a designated living-learning community within the First Year Experience area.
Measure and interpret outcomes related to learning community goals and objectives.
Collaborate with various departments throughout the University including Living-Learning Advisory Board Residence Service and University College.
Serve on related departmental divisional and university committees.
Supervise hire train and evaluate student and graduate staff. Fulfill responsibilities of human resource management including equal opportunity affirmative action and employee development.
Provide functional guidance of administrative/professional employees and/or direct supervision of support staff on an ongoing basis. May provide ongoing facilitation of consecutive projects.
Teach the University Orientation course. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelors degree and a minimum of three months job related experience. License/Certification: None. Knowledge Of: Personal computer applications including Word Excel and Access Student development theories and practices Skill In: Oral and written communication marketing and program management and staff supervision Implementing and evaluating projects Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability To: Work effectively with students staff and faculty Work with a diverse population |
Preferred Qualifications if applicable: | Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field. |
