Your mission

As our Tech Lead you play a critical role in establishing and maintaining technical excellence within one of Finagos software engineering teams working on either Finago Office or Mepco both businesscritical B2B SaaS products trusted by thousands of customers.

Each engineering team owns a part of the product and is responsible for delivering reliable secure and maintainable this role you combine seniorlevel handson development with technical leadership and serve as the primary technical guide for your team. You lead the design implementation and maintenance of software solutions while ensuring high engineering standards and delivery excellence.

While the role and expectations for technical leadership are similar the technical focus and architecture differ between the product lines.

In Finago Office you work with a modern cloudnative tech stack. The daily work focuses on React with TypeScript and MUI on the frontend and with TypeScript and C# .NET on the backend. The system is built on a microservicebased and increasingly eventdriven architecture supported by cloud platforms Kubernetes and modern CI/CD this product line you have a strong opportunity to influence architectural decisions technical direction and engineering practices.

In Finago Mepco you work on a mature and businesscritical payroll and HR solution with deep domain complexity. The tech stack is based on React with TypeScript on the frontend and C# .NET on the backend with a strong emphasis on reliability correctness and longterm maintainability.

You work closely with Product Owners QA Design and engineering leadership across locations to ensure alignment with Finagos architectural and development best practices. Youll be part of our growing 20 person Finago KL community combining handson development with technical leadership while collaborating closely with colleagues across the Nordics.

Your key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to Software Engineers fostering professional growth and a culture of technical excellence.
• Leading the design and implementation of new features and system enhancements in close collaboration with Product Owners translating business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Ensuring agreed technical standards architectural principles and development practices are followed consistently.
• Developing a deep understanding of the teams software and product domain to support wellinformed technical decisions.
• Participating actively in architectural discussions and influencing longterm technical direction.
• Troubleshooting complex issues and providing scalable sustainable solutions.
• Championing best practices in testing automation observability security CI/CD and AI usage.
• Supporting recruitment onboarding and upskilling of new team members.
• Promoting collaboration transparency shared ownership and continuous improvement within the team.

This is a permanent fulltime hybridmodel position located in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (KLCC Common Ground). We are currently working in a coworking space but we are looking for an office near our current location. The move is expected to take place later this year.
