Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an in-person school-based role. The position involves supporting students in achieving functional independence and participating fully in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Work directly with students to improve motor skills sensory processing and daily living activities
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers therapists and school staff to support student success
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs
- Travel between assigned school sites as required
Requirements:
- Active California COTA certification
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative educational environment
