Custodian Intern (part-time)

Job Title: Custodian - Part-time Student Summer Internship

Reports To/Evaluated By:Grant Program Manager/Site Custodian

Location: ESCWR - Hale Road location (56 Hale Road Painesville 44077)

Position Available: May 18 - June 25 2026 (Monday - Thursday)

Compensation: $14.00/hour

Summary:This job is responsible for cleaning rooms clearing trash and moving/setting up equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.

• Floor maintenance like sweeping and mopping
• Dusting and disinfecting all surfaces like window sills locker doors and tops desk and table tops Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms
• Emptying trash
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Move and set up furniture/classroom equipment
• Reports items in need of repair to supervisor
• Punctual and strong work ethics and attendance

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty and competency and complete all pre-employment paperwork and requirements.

Candidates must meet all applicable federal and State of Ohio employment laws and regulations including those related to the employment of individuals under 18 years of age.

Language Ability:Ability to read analyze and interpret simple documents and labels.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:The work environment is a school serving small children with safety as its priority. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision Distance vision Peripheral vision Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
