Job Summary
Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 8 10 or 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights Available)
Compensation
Local Rate: $34 $40/hour
Travel Rate: $42 $50/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining sterile conditions preparing operating rooms and assisting surgeons during procedures to ensure safe and efficient surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and organize the operating room prior to surgery
Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and supplies
Assist in patient preparation including positioning and site preparation
Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations
Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure smooth workflow during procedures
Handle surgical instruments sutures and equipment efficiently
Perform accurate counts of sponges needles and instruments before and after procedures
Assist with wound closure and application of dressings
Operate and manage surgical equipment (lights suction devices etc.)
Dispose of biohazard materials in compliance with safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
BLS Certification (Required)
Surgical Technologist Certification (NBSTSA or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and operating room protocols
Ability to work in a high-pressure fast-paced environment
