The Opportunity

Cordova is seeking a high-energy experienced Scrum Master to coach oversee and guide Agile teams toward peak this role you will act as a true servant leadernot just facilitating meetings but building and cultivating high-performing teams in a safe environment of trust and transparency.

Your mission is to ensure development teams adhere to Agile values and practices (Scrum/Kanban) mentor teams to improve predictability and relentlessly eliminate impediments. We are looking for an advocate for continuous improvement who uses data-driven insights to foster a culture of accountability and self-organization.

Key Responsibilities

Team Facilitation & Servant Leadership

• Ceremony Management: Guide and support Agile teams by facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and team-level Program Increment (PI) planning activities.

• Coaching & Maturity: Coach teams toward higher levels of maturity predictability and self-organization; create a culture of continuous learning and transparency.

• Conflict Resolution: Promote a positive and productive work environment by facilitating clear communication and resolving team-level conflicts.

Backlog & Delivery Excellence

• Backlog Health: Partner with Product Owners to ensure healthy backlogs clear priorities and well-understood work.

• Quality Requirements: Support the team in writing clear concise and testable acceptance criteria to ensure a Refined and Ready backlog.

• Sprint Accountability: Ensure teams are delivering high-quality work in strict alignment with sprint goals and release timelines.

Impediment Removal & Metrics

• Roadblock Resolution: Proactively identify and remove impediments that affect the teams ability to deliver; partner with leadership to resolve external dependencies.

• Data-Driven Insights: Leverage tools like Jira to measure and analyze key Agile metrics (Velocity Throughput Cycle Time) to drive team improvements.

• Process Evolution: Identify and implement process improvements and Agile best practices to streamline delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience & Education

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field preferred.

• Certification: Scrum Master Certification (CSM PSM or equivalent) is required.

• Proven Track Record: Solid experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach specifically for software development teams.

• Framework Versatility: Working knowledge of Kanban Lean and scaled Agile frameworks is a significant plus.
