Unique to You is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher who is experienced in delivering high-quality teaching to children with SEND.
This role is perfect for a qualified teacher who is keen to transfer their skills to teaching students with SEND on a one-to-one or small group (2-3 students) basis within an established setting; providing more time for a personalised and purposeful approach to teaching.
You will:
- Have a genuine passion for educating children with SEND; enabling them to thrive achieve personal growth and celebrate their unique successes.
- Work within a small team of tutors and assistants at Unique to You.
- Be flexible in your teaching approaches; delivering engaging and child-led learning to include students interests.
- Incorporate students EHCP Outcomes and Individual Learning targets within tuition sessions.
- Contribute to students progress daily termly and for the purpose of annual review meetings.
- Provide a Total Communication approach within tuition sessions and have an understanding of Augmentative
- Alternative Communication; Makaton PECs Talkpads.

Unique to You is quality assured by Suffolk County Council featuring on their Alternative Provision Directory and specialises in bespoke educational tuition to children aged 4 to 16 (Reception to Key Stage 4).
We provide tuition for children with SEND who either:
- (a) require support transitioning back into a school setting
- (b) are awaiting a specialist setting
- (c) are accessing an EOTAS (Education Other Than At School).
Our provision is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. We embrace their individual strengths interests and learning styles by creating Individual learning Plans that support their communication skills sensory needs emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
