- Internal EOI for Planning Policy Officer within the Planning System Reform Division
- Temporary full-time up to 12 months
- Office location 4 Parramatta Square/flexible working supported
- Salary relative to experience and ranges from $115853.00 to $130547.00 super
Play a direct role in shaping the future of NSW by delivering policies that create vibrant places support diverse and affordable housing and ensure land and assets are managed sustainably for generations to come. This role focuses on supporting the implementation and adoption of Planning System Reforms. Working closely with managers and senior staff the Planning Policy Officer helps progress policy initiatives and reforms that align with the Departments priorities and the broader planning system while keeping daytoday work moving in a fast-paced environment.
It involves researching and analysing information to provide clear practical advice and decisionmaking support. It also contributes to stakeholder engagement manages community and government correspondence and supports coordinated policy project delivery.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated understanding of New South Wales government processes and policy making
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.
- Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Enjoys autonomy and demonstrates proficiency in working independently taking initiative and making decisions.
- Maintains meticulous attention to detail amidst high-volume workloads ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
What is an essential requirement:
- Degree qualification in public policy planning law economics ecology geographical information systems or other relevant discipline.
