Infrastructure Delivery – Network Technician

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the cabling time and resources and were looking for talented people who want to help.

Youll join a diverse team which required to interact with software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other stakeholders. Youll collaborate with them to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing network capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
-Triage task queue to review requests and changes
-Plan and implement the cabling works according to priorities for multiple data centers
-Verify the requirements in terms of infrastructure capacity materials resources required and lead time
-Prepare scope of work and request for quote for bid analysis
-Perform the cabling installation work
-Manage vendor to implement cabling installation work
-Comply with change management policies and guidelines for cabling activities
-Troubleshoot cabling issues with engineers
-Assure cabling work quality on deliverables for handoff to operations
-Update cabling work progress and escalate risks and blockers to stakeholders
-Adhere to safety and security standards for all tasks
-Review demand forecasts and coordinate with stakeholders for planning
-Keep updated with latest process and design changes and drive changes within the team
-Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives
-Manage and support training and development in procedures and technical knowledge

- 2 years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- Knowledge of project management tools and software
- Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling switches routers

- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience in data center
