Boys Soccer Assistant Coach (Fall 2026)

Position:Assistant Boys Soccer Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Salary range: $3950$4910 stipend

Time Commitment:

• Six days a week.
• Twenty to twenty-five hours a week.
• Three games a week.
• Season Length- 8/24/2026 11/23/2026

SUMMARY:

The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding Assistant coach to coach the boys soccer team for the 2025-2026 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence equity and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach the team they are assigned to.
• Assume the duties of the head coach when the head coach is not present.
• Assist in coaching at practice and games.
• Implement practice plans.
• Oversee scouting of opposition.
• Be a liaison between the captain and the head coach.
• Coordinate with the athletic office on rosters awards and medical issues.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• CPR certified
• NFHS concussion course completed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience coaching soccer
• Strong communication and leadership skills
