Heres how an HSE Supervisor for PCL Construction Services Inc. within Minneapolis contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Implements and supports project HSE plans regulatory requirements and other safe work practices.
- Identifies evaluates develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
- Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
- Recognizes evaluates and advises on hazard identification.
- Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
- Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
- Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
- Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Coaches trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Holds ASP or CHST safety designation.
- 5 years experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset.
- Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
- Conflict resolution skills with the ability to problem-solve.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop influence and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
The estimated salary range for this role is $82600 - $98200 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
This is considered a safety sensitive position.
