Job Description
An established client is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to act as the critical link between business stakeholders and development teams. This role is focused on understanding analysing and translating business requirements into clear functional specifications ensuring that delivered solutions align with both business intent and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analysing business and technical requirements ensuring all scenarios are considered and expectations are met.
- Produce high-quality documentation including functional and interface specifications process diagrams and prototypes aligned with best practices.
- The role involves analysing system interfaces driving business process improvements and supporting the implementation of efficient solutions.
- The candidate will engage stakeholders to uncover the why behind requirements challenge assumptions and propose alternative solutions where necessary.
- From a project perspective the Systems Analyst will coordinate with development teams Scrum Masters and external partners contributing to planning work breakdown structures and successful project delivery from ideation through to implementation.
- They will also oversee testing processes including functional and non-functional testing defect management and regression testing.
- Additionally the role includes post-implementation support troubleshooting root cause analysis and continuous improvement of systems and processes while maintaining alignment between solution architecture and business requirements.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have 35 years of relevant experience in systems analysis with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- They should demonstrate proficiency in requirements definition user story creation and process mapping along with experience working in Agile environments.
- Technical expertise should include BPMN 2.0 UML modelling (including data modelling and use cases) and exposure to web services.
- A solid understanding of tools such as JIRA and Agile methodologies is essential.
- Experience with tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect Rational Rose or similar as well as exposure to software development and APIs will be advantageous.
- The candidate should also possess strong communication skills the ability to mentor junior team members and a commitment to high standards of delivery.
