We are seeking a Principal Software Architect who is both strategic and handson capable of navigating complex distributed systems while guiding engineering teams through modernization and cloud transformation this role you will help define the blueprint for nextgeneration platforms mentor engineers and ensure our solutions remain scalable secure and compliant.
What You Will Do
You will lead the architecture of enterprisegrade healthcare and medicaldevice software systems ensuring technological choices align with longterm business and regulatory needs. Your work will involve:
Designing and evolving modern distributed systems cloudnative solutions and edgecomputing components.
Providing handson technical leadership through prototyping architectural spikes and code reviews.
Defining and enforcing architectural standards best practices and patterns that ensure quality and consistency across teams.
Partnering with product engineering and regulatory groups to deliver compliant highquality platforms.
Driving modernization efforts refactoring legacy systems migrating to modern architectures and enabling new capabilities.
Evaluating emerging technologies and guiding longterm technical strategy.
Mentoring engineers and supporting a strong forwardthinking engineering culture.
Who You Are
You bring a combination of deep architectural expertise strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in regulated complex environments. You have:
8 years of software architecture experience across distributed or enterprisescale systems.
Strong background in .NET or Java and experience with JavaScript (JS).
Industry experience in healthcare medical devices or life sciences.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms AWS preferred and secure systems design.
Expertise in microservices eventdriven architectures APIs and modern architecture patterns (layered hexagonal CQRS DDD).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and InfrastructureasCode (e.g. Terraform).
The ability to communicate architectural direction clearly across both technical and nontechnical teams.
A bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Preferred experience includes: leading digital transformation initiatives working with edgecomputing patterns knowing regulatory frameworks like FDA/ISO 13485/IEC 62304/HIPAA or building dataintensive and realtime systems.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account without limitation the candidates location education job-knowledge skills and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics employee compensation. For sales roles employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e. commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Companys long-term incentive plan with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

The base salary range for this role is:
