We are looking for a creative and ambitious

GLOBAL RETAIL EXPERIENCE CREATIVE DESIGNER

to join our Retail Experience team based in Helsinki and Stockholm.

The Retail Experience team is responsible for ensuring a global consistent and cohesive Marimekko brand and retail experience in all offline touchpoints by steering direction and creating guidelines for conceptual store design in-store campaign Pop Up and window design and Visual merchandising. As a part of the Global Marketing and PR department the Retail Experience team works in close collaboration with many company functions including design sales and the creative concept function.

As our Global Retail Experience Creative Designer your main responsibility is to ensure the global store campaign designs and other spatial creative concept designs that caters to global own retail stores partner stores and wholesale.

This is a full-time fixed-term parental leave cover from 10.08.2026 19.08.2027 in which you will report to Marimekkos Global Retail Experience Manager and be based in Stockholm Sweden.

Main responsibilities:

  • Following the high-level campaign concept & visuality responsible for the creative window and in-store set design of 360 omnichannel seasonal campaigns.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing the concept framework and creative set design for all seasonal (and other) in-store campaign activations and in-store consumer facing events for global own retail stores wholesale and partner stores.
  • Responsible for the creative design and implementation of the seasonal pop-up experience that caters to global retail wholesale and partners.
  • Responsible for the creative campaign/concept designs related to innovation works and other growth projects for retail.
  • Project manage projects related to creative in-store concepts windows & campaigns and act as main contact towards both internal and external partners on related matters.

In order to succeed in the role you have:

  • A proven professional Visual Merchandiser experience minimum 5 years
  • Previous experience working from a global position in visual merchandising campaign set-up design or similar designer role catering to implementing global retail experience
  • A proven track record in creating visual presentations designs and display mock ups working with suitable tools (e.g. Sketch-Up Adobe creative suit Power point)
  • The ability to see the big picture and work with an international mindset
  • Strong experience and understanding of the fashion and design industries
  • A results-driven and commercial mindset
  • Creative ideas and the ability to communicate these ideas both verbally and visually to others
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other key stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Fluency In English both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
