The Engineering Applications Department (EAD) is seekinga Unity and UX/UIDevelopertocreateworld-class user experiences for complex space systems. We developcutting-edgevisualization toolsfrom sophisticated web and desktop applicationstoimmersive experiencesthat transform complex engineering data into intuitive interfaces for critical decision-making in civil commercial and national security space programs.
ISCD staffleveragecutting-edgeinformation system technologiesincluding elastic compute clouds containerization microservices real-time operating systems and advanced visualization frameworkscombined withexpertisein software architecture AI and cybersecurity to deliver high-performance systems to our Intelligence Community DoD and civilian customers.
You willwork closely with product experience designers and other engineerstotranslatecustomer needs into innovative design solutions.
This is a full-time position based in El Segundo CA which requires 100% onsite work.
What Youll Be Doing
Build responsive accessible high-performance front-end interfaces with exceptional attention to detail
Develop and implementintuitive experiences for game engine applicationsadvanced visualization software andimmersive technologies
Partner with developers engineers scientists and stakeholders to align vision and deliver cohesive solutions
Foster a culture of excellence continuous learning and user empathy
What You Need to be Successful
MinimumRequirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceHuman-Computer Interaction (HCI) Design or related STEM discipline
At leasttwoyearsofdevelopmentexperienceinUnityor other game engines(postbachelorscompletion) withexpertisedevelopingcomplex solutions for complete digital environments
Proven experience with Python C# C or JavaScript; understanding of RESTful APIs version control (Git) and modern development workflows
Demonstratedabilityinuser research usability testing rapid prototyping and accessibility
Provenability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences from engineers to executives
This position requires ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship isto obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Masters or Ph.D. inHCI Computer Science Design or Human Factors
Experience in UX/UIdesign anddevelopment
Extensive experience with game engines (Unity Unreal Engine) 3D visualization environments andAR/VR
Experience with WebGL Qt OpenGL shader programming or real-time rendering
Proficientskills in motion design using After Effects Cinema4D or similar tools
Proficiencywith Blender Maya 3DS Max or equivalent modeling tools
Experience in aerospace defense or government sectors
Deep understanding of graphics principles 3D math andrenderingpipelines
Experience building andmaintaininglarge-scale design systems
Publications presentations or patents in UX/UI or human-computer interaction
Current DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
