Events Sales Manager

Job Summary
Purpose of Role
The Events Sales Manager manages event bookings from enquiry through to execution ensuring seamless coordination strong client engagement and successful delivery of all non-residential and MICE events.
Working closely with the Director of Events and Sales leadership this role supports revenue conversion ensures a smooth transition from Sales to Events and takes ownership of confirmed MICE groups to deliver a consistent and high-quality planning experience.
Responsibly Description
#Event Management & Client Handling#
- Manage event enquiries proposals and bookings ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Take ownership of confirmed MICE groups (rooms and events) from handover through to execution.
- Build strong client relationships to understand needs and ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth planning and execution.
#Sales Support & Conversion#
- Support Sales through a structured buddy system ensuring prompt follow-up and conversion of enquiries.
- Handle assigned MICE groups with accuracy and continuity throughout the event lifecycle.
- Contribute to revenue targets through effective booking management and upselling opportunities.
#Operational Excellence#
- Maintain accurate event documentation contracts and records in line with hotel standards.
- Ensure strong organization and attention to detail across all event processes.
#Team Contribution & System Ownership#
- Act as a champion for assigned systems programs or segments (e.g. Marriott CI/TY MICE Weddings Social).
- Support team knowledge through updates guidance and best practices.
- Contribute to a collaborative and accountable team environment.
#Performance & Standards#
- Support achievement of KPIs including revenue customer satisfaction and service standards.
- Demonstrate strong ownership professionalism and alignment with brand values.
