This is to invite eligible staff members working in Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals to submit application for the following post:

Term of Office (see Remark 1): 3 years
Managerial Responsibility
Allowance (MRA) (see Remark 1) : HK$4000 per month
The DHCE of RTSKH reports directly to the Hospital Chief Executive (HCE) of RTSKH. It is not a full-time post; it is a concurrent appointment where the incumbent needs to take up the role of DHCE in addition to his/her current roles and responsibilities.
Entry Requirements
1. Tertiary education with substantial management experience in health care services.
2. Good knowledge of the operation of public hospitals.
3. Strong leadership qualities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Analytical innovative and committed to achieving strategic results.
5. Possession of medical / health care administration qualification a definite advantage.
6. Considerable management experience in health care services.
7. Demonstrated success in leading a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities (see Remark 2)
To assist the HCE in performing the following duties in the hospital which include:
1. Lead the management team health care professionals and supporting staff in the hospital to ensure its effective provision of quality patient-centred health care service.
2. Establish and implement strategic directions operational objectives plans and policies for the hospital to maximize and further its potential.
3. Manage the daily operations of the hospital including management of staff matters / relation of the hospital handling of public / patient complaints involving the hospital as well as any other management responsibilities of the hospital assigned by the HCE.
4. Maintain a close working relationship with Hospital Governing Committee (HGC) and work closely with the community and relevant stakeholders to achieve the highest level of performance.
5. Manage resources within the hospital and be accountable for its results.
6. Contribute to the effective and efficient management of the Cluster by participating/ leading in relevant management groups.
7. Serve as the hospital coordinator for Annual Planning and / or resources sourcing/ bidding.
8. Serve as the hospital contact point at times of crisis.
9. Any other duties as assigned.
Remarks
(1) The term of office is three years. Full-time management post holders are not eligible for MRA on appointment as DHCE. The MRA of DHCE will be paid in lieu of other MRA which the appointee is receiving if the MRA rate of DHCE is higher otherwise the appointee will continue to receive his/her existing MRA. Doctors who will continue to perform his/her normal call duties whilst taking up additional management responsibilities due to concurrent appointments will be eligible to retain his/her original Fixed Rate Honorarium (FRH) and forego MRA if his/her original FRH rate is higher than the MRA.
(2) Flexibility can be given to CCE HCE and HGC to further refine the roles and responsibilities of DHCE according to local needs and operations.
