How you will make contributions that matter

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fitter & Turner to join our Allansford factory supporting the reliability and performance of production assets utilities and site services across a large complex dairy manufacturing site.

We are seeking a motivated committed and reliable tradesperson who thrives in a varied environment enjoys problem-solving and is keen to contribute to continuous improvement and asset reliability.

This role is a Day-shift role working Monday to Friday with some flexibility required and offered.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and repair production equipment utilities and site infrastructure including boilers water treatment plants and key services.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities and equipment changes in SAP PM following site standards and procedures.
  • Support both planned maintenance routines and respond to breakdowns as part of the day fitter pool.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to reliability improvements and defect elimination.
  • Work collaboratively with the Reliability Team Services Planner and other site trades to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and legislative policies.

About you:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience in maintenance within manufacturing or food processing environments (dairy experience advantageous but not essential).
  • Practical understanding of food manufacturing hygiene and GMP/HACCP expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.
  • Positive can-do attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to varied tasks and support both services and production maintenance as needed.
