Introduction to role:
As Senior Specialist Capacity & Operations Support Clinical Data and Insights the focus is on planning coordinating and delivering cross-functional operational initiatives that strengthen performance execution and compliance across the organisation. This role works with global and functional groups to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within scope. It also focuses on measurable value and embeds consistent governance and continuous improvement in approaches to working. Clinical Data & Insights delivers trusted high quality clinical data and insights. These support informed choices throughout AstraZenecas development portfolio. This position enables effective capacity planning operational execution governance and performance transparency to support strategic priorities. Accountabilities:

• Lead and support projects and initiatives from initiation through closure defining scope timelines deliverables governance and success measures that keep work on track and outcomes visible.

• Partner with global and functional collaborators to agree on expectations manage dependencies and enable effective communication and resolution processes across diverse teams.

• Build and maintain coordinated project plans achievements risk and issue logs and status reporting raising concerns where needed to protect delivery and value.

• Support governance forums such as leadership inputs and working groups ensuring actions decisions and documentation are controlled traceable and easy to access.

• Work closely with process owners and impacted teams to support change management adoption training needs and operational readiness so that new methods of working land efficiently.

• Find opportunities for process simplification standardisation and operational efficiency using metrics and insights to guide decisions.

• Ensure initiatives consider and align with quality and compliance requirements including documentation standards audit readiness and system impacts.

• Coordinate inputs from external vendors and internal partner functions to support delivery outcomes and maintain momentum.

• Act as a delegate for Associate Director / Director for defined activities when required providing continuity of leadership and decision making.

• Demonstrates strong digital proficiency and adaptability to new tools platforms and methods of operations. Capable of bringing to bear technology to streamline processes improve reporting and produce meaningful data-driven insights that aid informed decision-making. Comfortable engaging with evolving platforms automation/mechanization and analytics to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

Crucial Skills/Experience:

• Bachelors degree with 6 years of proven experience in business operations project delivery or similar field

• Demonstrated experience delivering projects or operational initiatives end to end managing scope timelines risks and collaborators

• Strong business insight with the ability to translate strategy into practical execution plans

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to varied audiences

• Proven track record to work across international and departmental boundaries influencing without formal authority

• Strong execution skills capable of managing multiple priorities under tight timelines

• Experience with project planning dependency management governance cadence and benefit tracking

• Practical understanding of change management and adoption (readiness communications training coordination)

• Digitally proficient comfortable working with evolving tools systems automation and data driven reporting

• Experience supporting financial tracking (budget oversight invoice / PO monitoring forecasting)

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or CRO environment

• Experience facilitating workshops retrospectives and stakeholder alignment sessions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including use of KPIs and metrics

• Comfort operating in ambiguous or evolving environments

• Solid understanding of regulated ways of working such as GxP awareness and inspection readiness

• Experience defining and reporting operational performance metrics
