The Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive care to patients throughout the childbirth process including antepartum intrapartum postpartum and neonatal care. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to work in high-pressure environments and a patient-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery settings
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs during labor
Assist physicians and midwives during delivery
Administer medications and IV therapies
Educate patients and families on childbirth and newborn care
Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical care
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
