- Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive care to patients throughout the childbirth process including antepartum intrapartum postpartum and neonatal care. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to work in high-pressure environments and a patient-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery settings
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs during labor
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Educate patients and families on childbirth and newborn care
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
Preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher
Certifications & Licensure
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- BLS American Heart Association
- ACLS
- NRP
