Department Summary The Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies Programin the College of Liberal Arts offers a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies jointly conferred by the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Engineering. The program hosts majors from a wide variety of disciplines fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and inquiry across the university. |
Key Qualifications - Demonstrated customer service experience with a high level of professionalism including the ability to use tact and diplomacy handle sensitive situations and build effective working relationships with diverse populations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong command of English grammar spelling and punctuation and the ability to write reports and present information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to interpret apply and communicate policies and procedures and to exercise independent judgment and discretion in situations where guidelines or precedents may not exist.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Excellent organizational time management and analytical problem-solving skills including the ability to prioritize multiple assignments troubleshoot administrative issues analyze operational problems develop and evaluate solutions and anticipate impacts across functional areas.

Education and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of general office support or technical experience.
- Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience.

Salary and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Range:$2402 - $3046 per month (based on a 24 hour work week)
This position is paid under the 11/12 pay plan where the salary for 11 months is distributed over 12 months. The salary will be received every month. The incumbent will have one month off every year (with pay benefits and vacation/sick leave accrual continuing through the month off). The one month off will beJuly. Classification Range:$4003 - $5832 per month (based on a 40 hour work week) Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position based on internal equity budget and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
