Position Summary

• Supports Account Managers and Project Managers with project execution from order entry through release for shipment
• Acts as a liaison between departments and internal stakeholders to ensure large opening orders are completed efficiently and accurately
• Maintains project schedules monitors timelines and adjusts orders as needed
• Identifies bottlenecks and uses critical thinking and problem-solving to determine the best outcome for both the client and the company

Salary Range: $49000 $60000

Essential Functions

• Organizes all key communication related to major projects
• Manages multiple order sheets and provides daily or weekly status updates to relevant stakeholders
• Reviews internal initiatives from the customers perspective to ensure proper execution and updates orders as required
• Coordinates staging shipment schedules and deadlines with all involved parties including logistics
• Directs internal Gordon Food Service teams on new restaurant openings and closings and supports management of new store opening orders
• Reviews and analyzes multiple reports for order verification and resolves issues to fulfill orders as close to 100% as possible
• Provides teams with shipping summaries and manages backorders
• Leads cross-functional meetings with Account Managers Warehouse Supply Chain and Sales teams to meet targets
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written verbal organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to develop solutions to complex business issues while balancing customer needs with Gordon Food Service business practices
• Ability to multitask prioritize organize and work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong customer service mindset and natural desire to support customers
• Strong analytical skills
• High attention to deadlines

Equipment / Tools / Technology

• Advanced knowledge of Google Apps including Gmail Chrome Calendar Docs Forms Slides Sheets Drive Sites and Groups
• Desktop or laptop computer
• Network printer/copier
• Multi-line phone systems
• Microsoft Office products including Excel and Internet Explorer
• GFS order entry tools and other business applications with SAP preferred
