We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Sales Training & Education Specialist to design and deliver how-to-sell training for complex high-value capital equipment platforms (e.g. navigation robotics imaging and surgical technologies). This individual will play a critical role in enabling commercial teams to effectively position differentiate and sell sophisticated medical technologies. This role requires a unique blend of medical device (ideally capital equipment) sales experience instructional design expertise and deep understanding of adult learning principles. The ideal candidate can quickly absorb complex clinical and technical information and translate it into engaging practical and scalable learning experiences that drive sales performance.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned
In this role you will operate at the intersection of sales marketing and educationowning the end-to-end development of sales training programs.
Design and refine sales training programs that teach reps how to position and sell complex capital systems in competitive clinical and business environments.
Translate technical and clinical product information into clear compelling and actionable learning content (playbooks workshops simulations etc.)
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions including new hire onboarding advanced selling workshops and national sales meetings
Partner with sales leadership marketing and product teams to align training with go-to-market strategies and product launches
Conduct training needs analysis to identify capability gaps and prioritize development initiatives
Develop train-the-trainer programs to scale learning through field leadership
Coach and train sales representatives and managers on consultative selling stakeholder engagement and deal strategy
Leverage learning technologies (LMS CRM tools microlearning and AI-based platforms) to enhance training delivery and adoption
Measure training effectiveness through performance metrics and feedback continuously improving programs
Ensure all training content aligns with clinical engineering regulatory and compliance standards
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience in a clinical lab setting clinical training field sales/support in medical device healthcare industry or equivalent experience (OR Associates Degree with 6 years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree with 4 years experience).
Nice to Have
5 years of experience in medical device sales preferably in capital equipment or complex consultative selling environments
2 years of experience in sales training enablement or education roles
Proven ability to translate complex technical or clinical concepts into effective sales training
Experience designing and delivering end-to-end training programs (onboarding advanced selling skills continuous education)
Strong foundation in adult learning principles and instructional design
Demonstrated ability to build engaging scalable learning experiences (live virtual and self-paced)
Deep understanding of sales processes sales cycles and stakeholder-based selling
Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams (sales marketing product clinical)
Strong facilitation communication and storytelling skills
Experience with training measurement and performance analytics
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
