Job Summary

This is a direct service position requiring specific knowledge of mental health and skills in crisis intervention and stabilization. This position involves the assumption of primary responsibility for response to crisis calls that require face-to-face intervention. As part of the ACT you must be willing to go out into the community to provide services. This position requires community and psychiatric nursing experience and the desire to work as part of a team.

    Qualifications:

    • Possession of a degree in Nursing and a current Maryland RN license.
    • Positively referenced relevant work experience.
    • Valid drivers license (license cannot be provisional status) and clean driving records.
    • Must have personal vehicle and be covered under an active auto insurance policy. A valid copy of auto insurance is required prior to hire.
    • Must be able to clear criminal background check.

    Duties:

    • Working knowledge of crisis intervention principles and techniques.
    • Ability to assess crisis situations for safety and security.
    • Ability to provide goal-oriented crisis intervention stabilization.
    • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation concepts.
    • Ability to perform mental health assessments and assist clients with the development and implementation of stabilization plans.
    • Knowledge of available community agencies and resources that support individuals with stabilization.
    • Ability to establish and maintain empowering trust relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
    • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and as well as members of community agencies.
