Tax Processing Specialist

The Tax Processing Specialist must be capable of effectively prioritizing daily tasks working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment to meet deadlines. This is anin-office/hybrid positionthat may be based out of one of our following locations:

• Bangor ME
• Portland ME

This role reports directly to theTax Operations Manager.

• Print and assemble various types of tax returnsincluding corporate partnership individual trust estate and exempt organization filings.
• Prepare and deliver finalized tax return packages to clients.
• Communicate directly with existing clients colleagues and management regarding various tax matters.
• Monitor and manage client deliverables and due dates.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork by actively contributing to a collaborative work environment understanding both individual and team roles building positive relationships with team members and proactively seeking guidance clarification and feedback as needed.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently manage priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion in managing confidential and sensitive information.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow up with stakeholders as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with the CCH Axcess Platform (Tax Document Workflow etc.) is helpful though not required.

The hourly rate for this role is $28 to $32 per hour. This rate range represents BerryDunns good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience education or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final rate may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The hourly rate for the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to years of experience depth of experience seniority merit education training amount of travel and other relevant business considerations.
