Personal Care Aide

As a Personal Care Aide at River Rock Academy you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support students academic behavioral and daily living needs. You will play an important role in helping students build independence stay engaged and succeed in a supportive learning environment.

This is a temporary part-time role - working 30 hours/week through the end of the school year on June 10th.

What Youll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral needs preferred

• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

• Ability to stay calm patient and consistent in a variety of situations

What Youll Do

• Support students with academic behavioral and self care needs

• Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans

• Provide support during classroom instruction and school activities

• Help students stay engaged complete tasks and participate in learning

• Assist with personal care needs such as hygiene grooming and eating as needed

• Support transitions breaks and participation in special subjects or activities

• Collect and record data related to student progress and behavior

• Implement behavior management strategies under teacher guidance

• Maintain a safe structured and supportive classroom environment

• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary team members
