Job Summary

The Center for Child Health Behavior and Development brings together a diverse and talented group of research scientists with different backgrounds with a singular purpose: to work collaboratively to address major issues that affect the health of children everywhere.

Job summary:

Manage and oversee the administration of sponsored research activities including pre- and post-award administration. Responsible for managing grant and contract proposal preparation and review fiscal process review and budget development effort management closeout and reporting oversight. Will serve as a liaison between the Center Business Office(s) Principal Investigators (PIs) fiscal and administrative support personnel and other Center Support Services divisions. Work closely with faculty to provide a point of contact for research financial and administrative matters. Serve as PI advocate to identify and eliminate roadblocks and to ensure that research activities are appropriately resourced. Supervise Grant & Contract Administrative staff. Develop strategies to optimize the grant and contract management process in order to support the organizations evolving needs particularly in light of increased grant volume and complexity. Use lean methodologies to create change and act as a catalyst for improvement in processes cross-functional team effectiveness and advancement of the Research Institute RPDS system to achieve defined improvement goals and objectives.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and least seven (7) years administrative and/or management experience OR At least 5 years experience Professional certification (CRA CPA equivalent).At least five (5) years experience managing federal and non-federal grant application/award processes and post award grants of OMB Omni Circular NIH policies and procedures and other federal sponsor policies and and experience with sponsor forms and systems including NIH ASSIST eRA Commons proposal CENTRAL DoD American Heart Association engaging in and maintaining standard operating procedures documentation job aids internal quality management tools or continuous process improvement initiatives.

Compensation Range

$107431.00 - $161147.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
