Job Summary
Location: New York City NY (Hybrid Midtown Manhattan)
Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a Senior GCP Data Platform Architect to lead the design and build of enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform. This role requires strong expertise in BigQuery data engineering and cloud migration along with the ability to work closely with client stakeholders and drive architecture decisions.
Must-Have Skills- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deep expertise in BigQuery (design optimization performance tuning)
- Experience in enterprise data platform architecture
- Strong background in ETL / ELT and data engineering
- Experience in data migration (on-prem / cloud to GCP)
- Knowledge of data pipelines and integration patterns
- Experience with IAM security and governance frameworks
- Strong understanding of data quality lineage and metadata management
- Experience with monitoring and observability
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Design and implement scalable GCP data platforms
- Architect end-to-end data ecosystems (ingestion transformation analytics)
- Lead data migration initiatives to GCP
- Optimize BigQuery performance and cost
- Establish governance security and compliance standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders and lead architecture discussions
- Experience with Dataflow Pub/Sub Composer
- Multi-cloud experience (AWS / Azure)
- Consulting background in enterprise environments
