Pay HK$64893 HK$96142 (HMPS Pt 1-9) per month including Monthly Allowance | |||||||||||
An AdditionalManagerial Responsibility Allowance of HK$1500 per month | |||||||||||
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. | |||||||||||
Key Responsibilities | |||||||||||
1. | Manage day-to-day operation of a ward/unit. | ||||||||||
2. | Supervise ward/unit staff on safe delivery of patient care. | ||||||||||
3. | Manage budget to ensure adequate equipment and consumables for smooth running of the ward/unit. | ||||||||||
4. | Monitor quality of patient care. | ||||||||||
5. | Develop annual plan for service development of ward/unit. | ||||||||||
6. | Motivate and coach staff for effective patient care delivery and professional development. | ||||||||||
7. | Facilitate clinical training for learners and continuing education for nurses. | ||||||||||
8. | Initiate quality improvement activities. | ||||||||||
9. | Participate in the development of professional nursing practice. | ||||||||||
Entry Requirements | |||||||||||
1. | Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. | ||||||||||
2. | Qualification in advanced nursing specialty *. | ||||||||||
3. | A degree in Nursing or equivalent. | ||||||||||
4. | 5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty and 2 years is in a management role. | ||||||||||

Preferable Attributes / Exposure | |||||||||||
1. | Demonstrated competency and leadership of a WM/UM. | ||||||||||
2. | Contribution to professional development including research/evidence-based practice teaching and training. | ||||||||||
3. | A Master degree in nursing or related discipline. | ||||||||||
4. | Qualification in management *. | ||||||||||
