Position Summary
We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven leader to join our team as Manager Ancillary Services. This role provides integrated leadership across commercial services and procurement functions ensuring that service delivery vendor management contracts and purchasing practices are aligned to support an efficient customer-focused and financially sustainable environment.
As a key member of the Campus Services team you will oversee the day-to-day operations of ancillary services while leading a dedicated team. You will play a critical role in shaping a high-performing service-oriented culture that enhances the overall experience for students staff and visitors.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead the Ancillary Services team by fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and service excellence. Oversee recruitment performance management scheduling and professional development. Set and monitor goals aligned with institutional priorities ensuring high-quality service delivery. Address employee relations matters including interpreting collective agreements coaching staff and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Commercial Services Oversight: Oversee the planning and delivery of key service areas such as food services bookstore operations and other commercial activities. Manage vendor relationships and contract performance to ensure services meet standards for quality value and customer experience. Lead contract negotiations renewals and transitions while minimizing operational disruption. Act as a senior escalation point for complex service issues and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure services remain responsive to the needs of the College community.
- Supply Chain & Procurement Leadership: Provide strategic oversight of procurement operations ensuring purchasing activities are efficient compliant and aligned with public-sector standards trade agreements and institutional policies. Guide competitive bidding processes vendor sourcing and contract negotiations to achieve fairness and transparency. Manage supplier relationships address complex or high-risk procurement issues and drive continuous improvement in procurement practices. Support the optimization of procurement systems and tools to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Financial Management & Operations: Manage operating budgets monitor financial performance across areas of responsibility and provide insights to support decision-making. Prepare financial and statistical reports identify cost efficiencies and develop business cases to support effective resource allocation. Ensure operational performance aligns with financial targets and service expectations.
- Policy Process & Compliance: Develop and implement policies procedures and process improvements related to ancillary services and procurement. Ensure transparency and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. Identify efficiencies streamline workflows and support departments in adhering to established standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including faculty staff and students to ensure services align with their needs. Foster effective partnerships with external vendors and service providers addressing issues proactively and supporting a collaborative approach to service delivery. Represent Campus Services on committees contributing to broader institutional initiatives and enhanced service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in a related field (Business Administration Commerce Hospitality Supply Management or similar); Bachelors degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in supply management
- 3 years of experience leading teams
- 3 years of experience managing commercial contracts
- Experience in business planning and financial management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP systems
- Contract administration and management
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of public-sector procurement practices contracting trade agreements and competitive bidding processes
- Experience in areas such as food services retail operations or customer service environments
- Experience in a post-secondary or public-sector setting
- Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
