Technical Sales Manager
Scotland Remote with Travel 40000 to 60000 Bonus Car

Are you a commercially driven technical sales professional with experience in steel construction This is an opportunity to join a highly capable and well-established business operating at the forefront of the cold rolled steel sector offering a salary of 40000 to 60000 plus bonus and a company car or allowance. Working Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm you will take ownership of a key territory across Scotland and Ireland developing new business while building on existing customer relationships in a market where technical understanding and credibility make the difference.

This role offers autonomy long-term progression and the chance to work alongside an experienced leadership team focused on sustainable growth and capability.

The Role
You will manage and grow a defined territory selling specialist cold rolled steel solutions into the construction and structural steel markets.
You will focus on both new business development and account growth working closely with customers to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across Scotland and Ireland
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships
• Prepare estimates and quotations from GA drawings
• Deliver technical sales support across purlin mezzanine and SFS systems
• Conduct customer meetings both in person and virtually
• Plan and manage your territory effectively including travel and follow-ups
• Ensure orders are delivered in line with customer expectations
• Support the full sales cycle through to payment and completion

Skills and Experience

We are open to different levels of experience including both established sales professionals and those looking to develop within the sector.

You may have:

• Experience in technical sales within steel construction or a related sector
• Understanding of steel framed buildings purlin systems mezzanine structures or infill systems
• Ability to interpret drawings and support estimating activities
• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to managing your workload
• Confidence in negotiation and handling customer discussions

Location and Working Pattern

• Fully remote role based in Scotland
• Regular travel across Scotland and Ireland
• Occasional visits to the manufacturing site
• Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
