Job Summary

Lead the educational care and development of a specific classroom by implementing all components of the Quality Preschool Initiative as defined in the Program requirements. Supervise all Instructional Assistants (IAs) and perform tasks required to support High Quality learning for all students parents & extended families. Collaborate with children staff & families to assure High Quality early childhood education

• Responsible for planning & implementing a rich curriculum which incorporates the Creative Curriculum and PITC Curriculum.
• The teacher will be responsible for using the CLASS tool to guide intentional teaching and meaningful engagement. The teacher will be responsible for creating and maintaining the specific interest centers including Science Math Literacy & Language Dramatic Play Block Play Sensory Play Mindful Me & Soft Places for relaxing using ITERS guidelines.
• Responsible to insure daily Classroom cleanliness that meets with all Health & Safety Guidelines as defined within ITERS & the External Health & Safety review.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in ECE/ Child Development or higher level degree.
• 24 ECE units ability to attain Child Development Teachers Permit or higher level permit

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at various locations as needed.
• Ability to walk sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds to support children.
• Ability to bend and squat to interact with children.
